Arrival
After an exhausting 14-hour direct flight from New York, I couldn’t wait to get to the hotel and rest my head.
The Crowne Plaza is super conveniently connected to Terminal 3 by a quick skytrain ride. Despite my midnight arrival time, I didn’t need to go outside or take a taxi – such a relief!
When I entered the spacious, airy lobby, I immediately felt a sense of calm wash over me. There were cozy couches, tropical indoor trees, and greenery all around.
It felt like I’d been transported from the busy airport to a resort oasis. The friendly staff swiftly checked me in, and I got to my room fast.
My Sizeable and Cozy Hotel Room
I booked a Premier Room for my 3-night visit. Walking into the room on the 11th floor, I found a huge, spotless space. At 36 sqm, the Premier Rooms are extra-large compared to standard hotel rooms.
The decor had warm earth tones, dark wood furnishings, and pops of green from plants. While some say the decor is dated, I loved the charming, inviting style.
The king bed with plush linens was perfect for recharging post-flight. I conked out quickly that first jetlagged night! The room also boasted modern amenities – Samsung TV, mini-fridge, safe, coffee maker. With speedy WiFi, I could work right from the room. It provided everything needed for a comfy stay.

The Perks of an Airport Location
The Crowne Plaza’s biggest advantage is its prime airport location in Terminal 3.
I loved how seamlessly I could access my room after a full travel day.
To reach the lobby, I took a quick 5-minute skytrain ride from the terminal. The hotel also directly connects to the terminals via convenient link bridges.
During my visit, I needed to fly out of Terminal 1. Thanks to the link bridges, it was a cinch to get there – crossed from T3 to T2, went up a level, then crossed over to T1.
The hotel made travel between terminals completely hassle-free. Whether I had an early morning or late night flight, I could easily get to my departure gate.
What’s Around Crowne Plaza?
One highlight of my trip was visiting the amazing Jewel complex right next to the hotel. This sprawling center seamlessly combines lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, shops, cafes, and more all under one roof.
I was blown away walking through the towering, glass-domed Forest Valley with soaring treetop walkways high above. It feels like you’re in a futuristic greenhouse!
Don’t miss strolling the gardens, getting lost in the sprawling hedge maze, and riding the jaw-dropping Rain Vortex waterfall – it’s the world’s tallest indoor waterfall! You’ll want to dedicate ample time to taking in Jewel’s marvels.
Being so close to Jewel allowed me to experience this one-of-a-kind attraction across multiple visits during my stay. I’d absolutely recommend building in extra time to explore everything Jewel has to offer.

Is It Business-Friendly?
During my time in Singapore, I needed to mix business obligations with leisure. The Crowne Plaza Changi gave me the perfect home base to make the most of both.
When work called, I simply took a quick taxi ride over to the Changi Business Park or Singapore Expo, just 10 minutes away.
Meetings at these hubs were seamless and stress-free.
After focused work affairs, I could relax my body through sightseeing in the city. Downtown hot spots like Marina Bay and Orchard Road were easily accessible via a short 25-minute taxi or MRT train ride away.
The Crowne Plaza enabled me to seamlessly transition between professional duties and recreational fun during my Singapore visit.
Doesn’t matter if you have jam-packed schedule with business or leisurely exploring the city, this hotel made both possible.
